He smiled and kissed her again.

"You should know that I was with another woman, Destiny. It was only one night and I haven't seen or heard from her since. Don't really want to."

She looked at him when he said that, she hadn't been with anyone, since there fight, she just kept to herself, it hurt a little, but she knew she shouldn't be upset about what they did when they weren't together.

Destiny: Oh.

He could see that she was hurt and he hated it.

"That one time was all it took to show me that you are the only woman I want in my life, Destiny. The only woman I ever want to be with."

She looked at him when he said that as she was thinking about it, she wasn't going to let it keep her back. 

Destiny: Let's just move forward, from here.

He nodded and kissed her softly.

"I love you."

He smiled softly.

"How are you feeling? Do you need me to call David for your burns?"

She shook her heard as she was alright, not wanting to bother David or anything.

Destiny: No, I'm alright, but thank you..

He lifted her hand to his mouth and softly kissed the palm.

"I'm sorry that I wasn't there."

He frowned a moment.

"My house has sprinklers. Did they go off when the fire started?"

She remembered what she saw outside his home before she went in.

Destiny: i saw that wires had been cut, and there was signs that someone was inside, which was why we went in to check things out.

She said as she was thinking about it.

He frowned while thinking about that.

"Do you think that Joseph being there was intentional or an accident? What if I was the one supposed to be there?"

She thought about it a moment.

Destiny: Well whoever did it, waited until we were inside to start lock us in and start the fire.

So she wasn't sure.

He didn't like thinking that he almost lost her.

"He's stepping things up. Going straight for you now."

He held her close to him.

"We need to stop him."

She nodded as she was thinking about it, but she couldn't do to much, she wasn't allowed on the scene , she wasn't a cop right now, she sighed sitting there.

Destiny: I hate just sitting around.

He thought about all the paperwork he had on the case. All the paperwork that had been in his office.

"Dammit! I'm willing to bet that everything my files are gone."

She looked at him thinking about it, she figured the guy was trying to burn his crimes while committing them, before he goes for the final move.

Destiny: I wonder what he'll do next.

She said thinking about it, she had been told about what happened with Amari and Collin at the gym, but she didn't know what else would happen, if the man would go back for Amari after she pushed him a bit.

He thought about that then looked at her.

"Let's go talk to the two of them. See if they have any ideas about it."

He nodded thinking about it.

"That does sound like the best idea."

He thought of something and grinned.

"I'll be right back."

He went out to his car and was back a couple minutes later.

"I forgot that my laptop was in the trunk of my car. I can access my files from work on it."

She smiled when he came in as she was thinking about it.

Destiny: Oh,nice..

They sat the laptop up on the table and Reese booted it up and logged into his work computer. He opened the file they needed and grinned.

"We haven't lost everything after all."

She was looking out the window a bit just checking things out as she heard what he said.

Reese: Good.

He looked over the information then looked up at her.

"Do you have any ideas on who it could be? Old boyfriend or something?"

She was thinking about it as she was looking out the window.

Destiny: I do have a lot of enemies, but that comes with what I do for a living… but as for an old boyfriend, doubt that, you're the first serious relationship i've ever had, and I know it isn't you.

He kissed her softly.

"I would never hurt you. Not like this."

She smiled softly as she looked at him as she was thinking about it.

Destiny: I know you wouldn't.

He kissed her softly.

"I love you, Destiny."

She smiled softly as she looked at him as she was thinking about it.

Destiny: I know you wouldn't.

He kissed her softly.

"I love you, Destiny."

He thought about the work they had to do.

"Do you want to do this tonight or in the morning?"

She thought about it, she just wanted to clear her head.

Destiny: In the morning.

He nodded understanding. He made a backup copy which he saved to a thumb drive. He put the laptop in the room safe and stuck the thumb drive in his coat pocket. He didn't want to take any chances.

He walked over to Destiny and slid his arms around her.

"Want me to run a hot bath? Help you relax?"

He kissed her softly then went into the bathroom and started the bath. He looked at the assortment of bath oils and decided on the one that smelled like vanilla. He poured just a small amount into the hot water.

"The bath is ready, darling."

She walked into the bathroom as she started to unbutton her shirt. 

Destiny: Thank you.

He watched her for a moment then moved getting a couple towels and setting them near the bath. He watched her climb into the bath and smiled. He sat on the floor beside the tub.

"We used to have some of our best talks in the bathtub."

She nodded as she was thinking about it as she was leaning back in the tub thinking about it. 

Destiny: Yeah, we did..

He watched her relaxing and smiled.

"When we broke up, Jenny refused to talk to me for a month. She really likes you."

She smiled a bit when he said that as she was thinking about it.

Destiny: That's kind of funny.

He looked at her smiling and nodded.

"Do you know how hard it was to work when my assistant wasn't speaking to me?"

He nodded then smiled softly.

"I think it's nice that my family likes you so much. It makes me happy to know that they accept you as one of them."

She laid back in the tub as she was thinking about it.

Destiny: Well our family is pretty much all linked together now, so they already just got over the show of all of us and toook us all in.

She laughed softly.

He smiled and pretended to be thinking.

"Your sister is my step-mother, so that makes you my aunt."

She laughed a bit looking at him nodding her head.

Destiny: I'm your aunt, your sister in law, your cousin through marriage, we're all so messed up.

She laughed a bit more thinking about it..

He looked at her thinking.

"I'd be happiest if you were once again my fiancé."

She was thinking about it..They were just getting back and connecting, she didn't want to put that stress on him again right now, knowing how things went last time.

Destiny: Will have to see where our road leads us this time... No more pressure, I don't want to repeat the path we first took...

He nodded and sighed.

"I'm happy just being with you again."

He kissed her softly.

"I love you."

She looked at him knowing it wasn't what he was wanting to hear, but she didn't want to risk him running away from her again when the pressure to go him.

Destiny: I love you too.
